Our footpath work in Harry Stoke covered edging and ground preparation through an open landscaped area. We formed straight sections and curved junctions, with a stone base between the borders ready for the next surfacing stage. This was part of our external groundwork in the Bristol area.
Forming the route and its junctions
We installed edging along the path, including the wider meeting point between routes. This established the width and direction of the walkway and separated it from the adjoining soil and grass.
Junctions need particular attention because several edges meet in a small area. Here, the curved sections brought the separate paths together without an abrupt change in the layout.
Preparing the base for later surfacing
Our work included the stone preparation within the edged route. The base and borders form part of the construction beneath the final surface, so both belong in the groundwork stage.
The work recorded here stops at path preparation. Final surfacing and the surrounding landscaping are separate stages within the wider scheme.
Footpath work around Bristol
We carry out footpath groundwork, edging and external works for projects in Bristol and surrounding areas. When discussing a new route, we consider where it needs to connect and how it will meet lawns, planting and other surfaces.
