We carried out drainage groundwork within new building plots in Speedwell, Bristol. The work took place inside low foundation walls, preparing routes and pipework beneath the future floors while the development remained at an early construction stage.
Preparing routes within the footprint
Our work included prepared drainage routes through the area enclosed by the wall layout. Granular material followed the runs, with pipework installed within parts of the prepared area.
The internal routes had to fit the footprint established by the masonry. This connects drainage preparation directly with the substructure work taking place around it.
Working alongside building services
Upright elements and service ducts were present near the perimeter. The drainage work shared this space with the entry positions for other below-floor installations.
Before the floor is built, these elements need to be considered together. The wall layout, internal routes and outside connections all affect the working arrangement within the plot.
Groundwork ahead of floor construction
At this point, the floors had not enclosed the building footprints. Our scope was the drainage groundwork within that open stage, with further floor and building work to follow.
We provide drainage groundwork across Bristol for new builds and other construction projects, including preparation within defined building plots.
