We carried out driveway and access works in Speedwell, Bristol, covering kerbing, stone preparation and surfacing beside residential properties. The work progressed through several areas of the site, bringing the access routes and their boundaries together.
Defining the driveway layout
Our kerbing work included straight boundaries, sweeping curves and junctions between adjoining areas. These established the shape of the access routes before the upper surface was laid.
The driveway edges also had to relate to nearby paths and building plots. Considering those connections together is part of forming an external layout that serves the properties around it.
From stone preparation to surfacing
We prepared stone within the kerbed areas and carried out surfacing as the external works progressed. The groundwork established the area to be surfaced, including changes in width and direction.
The different areas were at different stages of construction. This project covers that sequence of driveway work, rather than a single handover of the whole development.
