Our floor preparation work in Harry Stoke included membrane installation and detailing around service pipes. We brought the main sheets together across the floor and formed the smaller junctions at penetrations, corners and perimeter edges.
Joining the membrane across the floor
We formed taped seams between membrane sections, including a long joint across the main floor area. At the perimeter, the membrane continued upwards to meet the surrounding construction.
These edges are part of the same installation as the open floor area. Changes in direction introduce additional joints that need to be included in the preparation.
Detailing around service pipes
Our work also covered the points where pipes passed through the membrane. We formed taped details around these openings, bringing the sheet material together with each penetration.
The service positions affect the membrane layout. Considering them alongside the floor work helps establish the detailing required before subsequent layers cover the installation.
Floor preparation before the next layers
This was an intermediate stage of floor construction, focused on the membrane and its junctions. The work would later sit beneath the completed floor.
We undertake floor preparation across Bristol and nearby areas, including membrane work associated with new construction and property renovation.
