Our foundation work in Nailsea covered excavation, formwork, steel reinforcement and concrete placement. We worked through the early stages of the building footprint, bringing the foundation layout from open trenches to concrete within the prepared wall lines.
Excavating the foundation layout
We excavated the wall lines across the plot, including intersections and changes in direction. The groundwork followed the building layout, with setting-out equipment and markers used within the working area.
The trench arrangement establishes where the foundation construction takes place. Each run needs to be understood in relation to the rest of the footprint.
Formwork and steel before concreting
Our work included formwork around sections of the foundations and reinforcement within the formed areas. Junctions brought together steel from adjoining runs and formed part of the preparation before concrete placement.
The formwork shapes the concrete, while the reinforcement arrangement comes from the structural design. Both belong to the preparation stage rather than being separate from the foundation work.
Progressing to the concrete stage
Concrete was placed along prepared foundation lines as the work advanced. The surrounding site remained under construction, with further substructure and building stages to follow.
We undertake foundation groundwork in Nailsea, Bristol and surrounding areas, including excavation and preparation for reinforced concrete work.
